We’re looking for an honest and professional individual for join our security team. This is an opportunity to interact with people daily and take pride in keeping them and our building safe and secure. The on-duty Security personnel is often the first person that people come into contact with as they begin their workday or visit of our facility. We’re looking for someone with a friendly attitude who can represent our organization well while focusing on its security.Security Guard Responsibilities:• Patrolling the building perimeter and premises• Noting the entry and exit of employees, visitors, and other individuals• Directing visitors to reception and logging their entry to the premises• Monitoring our video surveillance system and reviewing footage if necessary• Responding to alarms and calls of security concern• Keeping daily logs of activities and any issues addressed• Answering phones and responding to other inquiries at the security desk• Alerting authorities if needed for emergencies or security breaches• Addressing any infractions of building rules and/or forwarding them to the appropriate level of management• Inspecting, testing, and maintaining our security systems, as well as calling for maintenance as needed
Job Duties and Key Responsibilities:•
Protect property and facilities• Monitor and patrol premises• Identify potential security risks and implement preventative measures• Access control and inspection of personnel and shipments• Record keeping of incidents, reports, and violations• Cooperation with police and other relevant authorities if necessary• Communication with clients and other stakeholders to ensure a safe environmentEssential Requirements:• Registered with PSIRA (If not registered, the position cannot be filled)• Entry-level position: Minimum Grade C qualification• Experience is dependent on the position (Entry-level positions require no experience)• Own transport and cellphone (depending on the position)• Good communication and interpersonal skills• Reliability, integrity, and a strong work ethic• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
